Pat’s Welcomes Northland Machine to Our Family of Stores

Pat’s Auto Supply is eager to announce that they will be merging business operations, sales support and inventory with Northland Machine Ltd. (NML) of Dawson Creek as of April 1, 2017. The NML location will be closed as of March 31st and incoming phone calls intended for NML will be automatically forwarded to the Pat’s Dawson Creek branch.

After 60 years in business serving the automotive and industrial supply needs of the BC Peace Region, the owners of Northland Machine are stepping away from the business to focus on retirement plans. “It has been an honour for this family-owned business to serve its many customers and we hold dear the relationships formed over the years,” said Bill Melnyk, owner of Northland Machine, “we have every confidence that Pat’s Auto Supply will carry on our reputation of excellent customer service.”

Through decades of building solid customer relationships in Dawson Creek and the surrounding communities, Northland Machine Ltd. has developed a reputable name as a competitive and steadfast member of the business community; a reputation the management of Pat’s Auto Supply is keen to uphold. “Northland Machine has always set the bar high for us in Dawson Creek in terms of customer service standards and we are honored that they are intrusting us to carry that torch and to continue to care for their customers” said Kenton Switzer, President of Pat’s Auto Supply.

This merger represents an opportunity for Pat’s to increase their buying power through access to new distribution channels, in turn offering new and old customers of Pat’s Auto Supply access to greater product breadth at a more competitive price. “Not only is Pat’s acquiring NML’s customer base in and around Dawson Creek, we are also acquiring additional purchasing partnerships that NML was a part of. This means we’ll have access to more selection of product at potential cost savings we can pass along to our customers. It’s a win-win for everyone” said Chris Funk, General Manager of BC Operations.
